The Colony Experiment.

Well I stumbled upon a great show to watch. It is named "The Colony". It is about a group of people from different background coming together and trying to rebuild humanity after a disaster which claim 90% of the lives on earth. They are put in a position which they can do whatever want with things in there. Things get very interesting when they created things such as a car or a bathroom out of absolute junk. This also thought me that we should always think for the future and if something happens, we would have to adapt quickly .Go watch it!

A Hectic Week Indeed!

Well the last week was not very easy for me, as I had 3 test in 4 days. This caused many late nights and a major lack of sleep. This resulted me to be VERY sleepy throughout the weekends even though I woke up at 11 in the morning. Nevertheless, I am ready to face challenges as I feel that every challenge is an opportunity to test my limits and gain more knowledge. So full speed ahead for the next week!

A-League Football

Today I played as a substitue in the Aphelion League. This morning my frieend approached me to help him play as a substitute so I agreed as it was a close friend of mine. So at 2.30 pm I made my way to the High School soccer court. My match started and I was playing forward. My jod was to score the goals. So after the match tarted for 10 minutes, I we let in our first goal because of a defencive error. However after 5 minutes later, I scored my first goal!!

Shortly after that, the first half ended and we took our break. After 5 minutes, we started the second half, it was quite uneventful until the opposing team almost scored. However, my group's goalkeeper blocked it. While the groups were regrouping, my teamate ran forward and scored another goal. Shortly after that the match ended and I won my first match in the A-League.

Why I like the poem?

The poem may be written in simple language but it can show the girl's saddeness. It also show how the girls plight can be seen in other organism. Thus conforting the girl. Using a few word to express so much meaning is truly remarkable.

Home Learning

The tree has entered my hands,
the sap has ascended my arms,
the tree has grown in my breast - downward,
the branches grow out of me, like arms.

Tree you are, moss you are,
you are violets with wind above them.
A child - so high - you are,
and all this is folly to the world.

The tree represents the girl is saad as the sap represent the girls tears.
The mosses and like the tree tells the girl how similar both of them are.

Questions on Animal Farm

These are some questions that I still do not understand.

Q1: Why was there a sudden change in the mindsets of the farmers towards the animals?
Q2: Why was Snowball chased out so abruptly, why didn't anyone step in to help?
Q3: Why were the animals so obedient to the pigs even when what they promised did not come true?
Q4: Why did Benjamin the donkey not object to any of the pigs opinions since he has more superior knowledge as compared to the other animals.

Please help me answer these questions.

Animal Farm Play

Recently, I have watch the play Animal Farm. This play is based on George Orwell's book whereby the animals end up controlling a farm. So this are my reflections after watching the play. I think that the director should have used more people to represent the characters in the book as in the play only 7 people were acting. This caused not only me but most of my friends much confusion on which actor is acting as which character. As most of the actors had many roles. Let me give you an example, when Boxer died in the last part, the actor suddenly changed his role to one of the chickens on the farm. This abrupt change in character caused some confusion.

Something that was done very well was the sound effects. They were done on the spot and it sounded like it was done electronically.

However, there were some changes that were made. When the convicts were sentenced, inside of being killed by the dogs, they were shot by a machine gun. This bring me to my next point, there were no dogs in the play unlike in the story where the dogs were Napoleans bodyguard or secret police. There was a change in the ending insteadof the argument that happened among the pigs and humans, it was replaced with Clover being fed by the farmer. This, in my opinion brings out the plot of the story much better.

These are my comments of after watching the play but this play is a good one and I recommend everyone to go and watch it.
